Hello! I made this recipe but think I got the cup of rice bit wrong. I used a “cup” measure at 250ml and 400ml coconut milk so the ratio wasn’t correct with using 1 part rice to 2 parts water/coconut milk. Can you tell me what your cup measurement is please 🙂

Hi Becky 🫶 To get the perfect rice, use the same cup. It doesn't matter if it's a coffee mug or a baking cup, use the same to measure rice and water or coconut milk and then it should work. Did your rice turned undercooked or mushy? If ubdercooked then adding a bit more water just before the water gets totally dry could work but if it's mushy then cooking on high heat until water is fully dry and then leaving it on lowest heat covered for 15 minutes gets the job done too. I would say that cooking perfect rice on stove needs a bit of practice and once you get the hang of it, it's super easy. Getting a pressure cooker is totally the best thing I did, it not only cooks rice but the meat and everything gets done in less than half the time and you don't even have to monitor it. If you need something to make rice only, a rice cooker will be a good investment but pressure cooker is the best if you want to cook thing easily without the need of monitoring it. I hope this helps ❤️
