How long do I cook the rice if I don’t have a pressure cooker and are the rice and liquid quantities the same? Thanks

Hi Gina. So for cooking rice in a normal pot on a stove, it's always 1:2 ratio and that is for every 1 cup of rice, you take 2 cups of water. Once the water is boiling and you add the rice, let it cook without lid on medium high heat until you can see the water reduced to the same level as rice but still see bubbles. At this point cover the rice very well so no steam is coming out and reduce the heat to it's lowest. Leave the rice like this for 20-25 minutes. You will get perfect rice every single time. If you are making coconut rice and using coconut milk, add water to the coconut milk to make it equal to the ratio of liquid required to cook the rice. I hope this helps 🫶
